Day 9 - Wanaka to Queenstown

A wet day but not heavy. Headed off from Wanaka around 9.30AM following the mountain road. Visibility was ok, so managed to see some of the beautiful scenery. Wanaka is at 292 m above sea level and the drive to Queenstown did not seem to be a steep up hill drive. However, when you get to Crown Range Summit car park, you realize how high up you are - its a very steep windy road down to Arrow Junction. It's a relatively flat drive into Queenstown from there but Queenstown is actually at a higher elevation than Wanaka, at 313 m. WIERD! Charged up at Pak N Save Frankton and then headed out to Arrowtown for a walk around the historic mining town.

NOTE: There are fast chargers situated in the center of Queenstown, however, they are poorly laid out which makes it very difficult to park up and charge. The one we used was great.
